Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to Paro (Flight) to Thimpu (Drive)

Tour time: 3 to 4 hours

Fly from Kathmandu to Paro on a scenic Druk Air flight before driving to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Explore Tashichho Dzong, the National Museum, and the vibrant Weekend Market at a relaxed pace.

Day 2: Thimpu Day Tour

Tour time: 5 to 6 hours

Explore Thimphu, Bhutan’s peaceful capital, with its clean streets, green surroundings, and cultural landmarks. Visit the Memorial Chorten, Nunnery, Changangkha Lhakhang Temple, traditional paper factory, and Sangaygang View Point for beautiful valley views.

Day 3: Thimpu to Punakha (Drive)

Tour time: 5 to 6 hours

On your third day in Bhutan, drive to Punakha, the former winter capital, via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,050 m). Enjoy breathtaking Himalayan views and explore the fertile valley, home to the magnificent Punakha Dzong and Wangdi Phodrang Dzong.

Day 4: Punakha to Bumthang (Drive)

Day 5: Bumthang to Punakha (Drive)

Day 6: Punakha to Paro (Drive)

Drive from Punakha to Paro via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,048 m), enjoying beautiful Himalayan views along the way. Explore the National Museum and Rinpung Dzong before relaxing and enjoying your final day in Bhutan.

Day 7: Paro to Kathmandu (Flight)

Flight time: 1 hour 5 minutes
